RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking growth oriented entry level to experienced candidates to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Horicon, WI. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will work with our engineering staff and our customer's staff to support the production of off-road utility vehicles and lawn care equipment.
 
Our customer's facility is a world-class engineering and manufacturing center including full capability of machine design, simulation, prototyping manufacturing, and testing of entire vehicles. This is a full time position that is indefinite in duration with opportunity for growth within our organization, or direct hire by our customer.

Job Description

  • Applying engineering rigor in harness, hardware, sensor, and display development activities
  • Assisting clients product improvement teams regarding electrical system components
  • Component selection, development, and integration
  • Collaborating with internal and external resources to execute a validation plan for electrical components
  • Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems
  • Working with manufacturing, quality, and supply management teams
  • Communicating with team members at a professional level
  • Providing engineering support to vehicle and attachment teams
  • Utilize six sigma and product development processes to achieve successful design solutions
  • Working in PDM Link and SAP for business management and part tracking
  • Working in Microsoft Project and Excel to track project status on multiple levels

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Previous electrical systems experience
  • Candidates must have excellent communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of off-road equipment
  • Demonstrates technical capability and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Project management experience
  • Travel: Minimal, less than 5%

Desired Attributes

  • Experience in Ag, Turf, Construction, or Recreational Vehicles
  • Knowledge Mentor Graphics Capital Harness Systems and/or ProE ProDiagram and/or ProE ProCabling
  • Knowledge systems engineering processes
  • Knowledge of CAN Communications
  • Experience with Design for Six Sigma processes including FMEA
  • 1-3 years product development experience
