Mechanical Engineer - Factory Support

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking a growth oriented Mechanical Engineer to become a part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Lafayette, IN. The selected candidate will support the 3500 Platform Team with Factory Support on all 3500 large engine applications.   Work will include NPI BOM management, Prove Design order logistics, coordination of engineering changes and manufacturing, coordinate CI cards, and coordinate ECR’s.   The work will be highly collaborative with both internal customers and external suppliers.  This opportunity represents a unique opportunity for candidates interested in working in a fast paced, team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience required.  Large engine experience is a plus.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude through his/her education, employment or personal experience.
  • Experience with the design of engine systems, agricultural, construction or related off-highway equipment preferred.
  • Experience with Pro/Engineer (CREO) or other solid model CAD software is a plus.
  • Experience working with managing Bills of Materials (BOM’s), CI card implementation, and ECR process.
  • Experience with managing parts order logistics is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
