RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking a growth oriented candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Griffin, GA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will support the testing of Electric Power Generators driven by Gas and Diesel Engines.

Our customer's facility is a world-class engineering and manufacturing center. This is a full time position for the 2018 calendar year with long term opportunity for growth within our organization, or direct hire by our customer.


Duties & Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains test equipment inventories and calibrations.
  • Supports validations activities associated with various Diesel and Gas Generators.
  • Execute individual activities such as instrumentation, testing, assembly, etc.
  • Collaborate with development teams to create test plans for package components and systems.
  • Communicate test results to engineering teams and engineering management.
  • Coordinate with development teams for ordering of new parts and material for testing.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or applicable 2 or 4 year Technical Degree
  • 1 to 3 years of related testing experience.
  • Travel – 15 to 20% of the time.
  • Experience working in a test cell environment and working with mechanics.
  • An understanding of the basic knowledge of test theory and scientific investigation processes.
  • Ability and willingness to effectively use and apply instrumentation, data acquisition, test hardware, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to learn engine subsystems and operations.
